Our waterproofing system

For basements and underground structures we don't rely on one product. We combine the concrete itself, the joints and the penetrations into one system, specified and installed together.

Basement & UG Structures

How the system works.

Water finds its way in through three places: the concrete, the joints and the penetrations. Each part of the system closes one of them.

Step 1

Waterproofed Concrete

IPANEX® admix is added to the concrete mix. It makes the concrete itself resist water, rather than relying on a coating on the surface.

Step 2

The construction joints

Hydrophilic, metal waterstops and re-injectable hose system are detailed into each joint before the pour, so the joints can be sealed.

Step 3

The tie-rod holes and pipe penetrations

RivePipe and RiveStop seal the formwork holes and pipe penetrations, so they do not become the leak path.
